Intensive Physical Therapy

Intensive Physical Therapy

Intensive Physical Therapy is designed to provide longer and more frequent therapy sessions over a shorter time span to accelerate your child’s progress. It focuses on stretching, strengthening, balance, and body alignment with practice of functional movements for improved mobility and independence to advance your child’s gross motor skills (for example: rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, jumping, bike riding). Intensive Physical Therapy also focuses on increased repetitions at a high frequency with each skill, stimulating neuroplasticity within the brain which helps facilitate new motor neuronal pathways that may be absent or previously damaged.

Program to be offered Monday through Friday over the course of two weeks, with specific dates and times to be determined between the parent/guardian and therapists.

Each child will complete two sessions per day (one hour each session) focusing on functional and developmental levels to meet their goals. Therapists will conduct an evaluation prior to the child’s intensive sessions. Class size is limited and will be assigned on
a first come, first served basis.
