Sleep Studies: Franciscan Healthcare is an accredited Sleep Program through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for In the Hospital Sleep Studies and for Home Sleep Studies. Sleep studies are offered through Franciscan Healthcare in West Point. Sleep studies require a physician order. The patient is usually asked to report to Franciscan Healthcare at about 9 p.m. The test is usually completed by 6 a.m. and they will be ready to go home. The test is sent in to be interpreted by a physician who specializes in reading sleep studies. The report usually takes about 10 to 14 days to return. The results need to be obtained from the ordering physician. Home Sleep Studies require patients to pick up the Home Sleep Test equipment at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point or Oakland. The sleep test is performed in the privacy of the patient's home and then brought back to Franciscan Healthcare. The data is sent to the pulmonologist for interpretation and the results are returned in 5 to 7 days. Franciscan Healthcare in the Hospital Sleep Study Program and the Home Sleep Study Program are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
