Swallowing Therapy

Swallow difficulty (dysphagia) can greatly impact, and often limit, a patient’s daily activity. Swallowing therapy is necessary for patients with difficulty swallowing foods/liquids. This therapy promotes the safe tolerance of foods and liquids to prevent or reduce the risk of aspiration. A modified barium swallow study may be necessary to better visualize the swallow mechanisms.
