HANDWRITING 1 Ideal for PreK or Kindergarten (2024-2025 school year) that would benefit from individual assistance focusing on fine motor development, upper body strengthening, scissor skills, letter identification, and uppercase letter and number letter formation. This group is for beginner handwriting students. The Handwriting Without Tears program is utilized as a guide for letter formation. Activities will be sent home as a way to ensure continued success across all environments. • Two-hour group on Tuesdays
HANDWRITING 2 Ideal for 1st or 2nd graders (2024-2025 school year) that would benefit from more individualized assistance or remediation focusing on the following: lowercase letter formation and usage, fine motor development, holding their pencil correctly and upper body strength. This group is for students that have been exposed to lowercase letter formation or those that may benefit from remedial help. Activities are sent home as a way to ensure continued success across all environments. • Two-hour group on Thursdays
PROGRAM INFORMATION The Handwriting Without Tears curriculum will be used as a basis for the camp. This curriculum uses a multisensory approach to handwriting, which helps your child’s writing become easier and more natural.
The Summer Handwriting Camp is a five-week program focusing on improving your child’s prewriting skills and handwriting skills. Camp includes cost of materials. This is not a covered insurance benefit and your health insurance will not be billed.
